Governor Carcieri Visits OceanTech Expo
Rhode Island Governor Donald L. Carcieri took time from his busy schedule to visit with the exhibitors and delegates of the OceanTech Expo (OTE), which was held from September 5-7, 2007 in Providence, RI. O’Malley, owner of New Wave Media, which produces OTE, as well as publishes Marine Technology Reporter, the world’s largest circulation B2B publication serving the international subsea market.
Governor Carcieri spent time visiting exhibitors and delegates the evening of Thursday, September 6, at the Marine Technology Reporter-hosted reception. Though he made no formal presentation, the governor noted the importance of the subsea technology industry to the economic health of the state of Rhode Island, and expressed thanks to Mr. O’Malley for selecting Providence, RI, as the venue for OTE.
